Tyler Prize 2026 Media Fellowship
The Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement — often called the “Nobel Prize for the Environment” — is offering a limited number of Media Fellowships to support journalists covering the 2026 Tyler Prize events in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
This is a unique opportunity to gain direct access to the world’s foremost environmental leaders, scientists, and policy-makers — and to report on groundbreaking work shaping the future of our planet.
Fellowship Details
Number of Fellowships:
Two European Fellowships — up to USD $250 each in travel support
One Global Fellowship — up to USD $750 in travel support
All Fellows will also receive:
Complimentary accommodation in Amsterdam for the duration of the Tyler Prize events
Full access to the State of the Environment Address, Tyler Prize Award Dinner & Reception, and all associated press opportunities
The chance to interview the 2026 Tyler Prize Laureate and other key environmental leaders

The 2026 Laureate will be announced publicly on 13 January 2026 via Tyler Prize email and social channels.
Eligibility
Open to professional journalists (print, broadcast, or digital) covering environment, science, or policy
Freelancers welcome — please include a letter of assignment or statement of intent
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit:
A brief statement (max 250 words) outlining your interest in covering the Tyler Prize, your primary outlet or audience, and the angles you plan to report
2-3 recent published articles, posts, or videos highlighting recent relevant work
Confirmation that you can travel to Amsterdam for events on 23 April 2026
